New Beginnings
I know what you’re thinking, “oh great, here we go, another newsletter/moodboard from someone who thinks they know a lot about fashion and design.” The truth is, you’re not far off! All self-deprecating humor aside, (there will be plenty of time for that later), this is something I have been wanting to do for a long time now. I don’t pretend to be the most knowledgable person when it comes to fashion or any type of design, and I don’t have any formal education in either of those fields either. However, those are things that I am extremely passionate about and I think I’ve learned a thing or two over the years. (I mean I hope so, I think my personal style has come a long way since wearing Nike Elite socks and skinny jeans). I want to put my ideas and opinions out into the ether somehow and I think this is a good space to do just that.
One of the things that got me into fashion in the first place was getting clothes from my grandpa. Everyone knows that your grandpa’s closet is full of absolute gold when it comes to great clothes (hence the name of this blog). I want this Substack to be for talking about new brands that I find, clothes that I love wearing, clothing recommendations, random pictures and inspiration that I find from being chronically online, and maybe, just maybe I can help someone out with their own personal style along the way.
I’ll be posting every Friday, starting next week. I’m also planning on posting a monthly moodboard (super innovative right?) of different pictures that I find or save throughout the month that inspire me. Hopefully I can bring some new style ideas to your feed and help you find new brands that you’ll love. Don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post!
