Welcome to the first installment of Release Recap! I will be posting these articles the first day of each month, looking back at my favorite items that released the month prior. Here you can expect to see new releases from brands that I love, releases from new brands that I find and want to share, and new items that I find interesting in general (in no particular order).
I feel like February can sometimes be a slow month for brands and new releases but this year it had a ton of great releases including footwear, light outerwear, running gear and more. Portal finally released their first collection for SS25 after lots of anticipation, Hoka released new shoe models, and J. Crew and Barbour linked up again for another banger. I’ll stop rambling now and just get on with it. So, without further ado, here are my favorite items that released in February.
If any of these items are still in stock I will link places to buy them. None of these links are affiliate links, I do not make any money if you click on them or if you use them to purchase any items on this list!
Haven x Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1
I think this pair will be a strong contender for sneaker of the year, and we’re only two months into the year. Haven absolutely killed this collaboration with Asics. I love the materials used and all of the small details like the reflective rope laces and the small Haven branding hit on the heel. The iron gray portion of the shoe on the medial side is a great complement to the all black remaining parts of the shoe. The last thing I’ll say is they honestly are even better in person.
J. Crew Barbour Barn Jacket
J. Crew and Barbour linked up again for this pristine barn jacket. I love the color of this jacket and I think the partnership between the two companies just makes sense. This jacket is the definition of timeless. Looks like there are still a few left on J. Crew’s site in certain sizes.
Portal released their SS25 collection after what seemed like a ton of anticipation. There are a lot of great items, but this running belt has to be one of my favorites (I also really liked the Level Alpha Jacket). I love the design and I want to get my hands on it and test its functionality.
I discovered Gnuhr at the beginning of this year and I immediately fell in love with the brand and its designs. They make extremely cool and functional gear with unique materials for enjoying the outdoors. This sweater is made from Polartec Alpha Direct, an insanely lightweight and breathable fabric. I have one in another color and I was honestly baffled by it weights next to nothing and still traps heat in. The fit is also perfect. I love this new “bungee cord” color that released last month. (Side note — their website design is awesome)
This thing might be my first POST ARCHIVE FACTION piece, I can’t stop thinking about it. The whole 8.0 collection that released last month was phenomenal. This jacket is super wearable and would be perfect for spring weather. The texture and gingham check design on the polyester material is super unique and cool.
These were a late addition to the list as they releases right at the end of the month. But wow, what a great looking pair of jeans, specifically this washed black pair. I really need a pair of these because the fit looks like it would be excellent according to the measurements. Picante is a brand that’s intrigued me for a while now and they released a very solid pair of jeans here.

Grenson x YMC Oxfords
I cannot decide which color I prefer of this shoe, both are amazing. This is such a cool take on the traditional Oxford shoe. I love the hidden laces that just peek through the opening. Unfortunately they sold out pretty quick but obviously for good reason.
3sixteen Club Jacket
I posted a short note about this jacket when 3sixteen released the first delivery of their SS25 collection, but I have to put it here too. This thing has got to be the perfect black lightweight work style jacket in a nice cotton twill. I love how simple it is, the cut and fit look great and you can never go wrong with a double zipper. I really need to get my hands on this thing.
I was so excited when these released after seeing them on a lot of people’s feet during PFW. Hoka has been on a hot streak recently and this shoe is no exception. Not only is it a new release, but a brand new model for Hoka. I love the black pair, it’s extremely wearable and comfortable, I don’t regret picking this pair up one bit. My favorite detail is the zipper shroud on top op the shoe. They also come in a green and light gray colorway.
Aime Leon Dore always makes great jerseys. In the past, they have come out with plenty of soccer style jerseys but this is the first time for a rugby jersey that I can remember. I love the colors on this one and the fit seems to be a bit more cropped. Not much to say about this one, just a good product overall from a great brand.
That’s two items from the Haven and Asics collaboration the past month. Just like with the shoes, they smashed it with this jacket. Made from a Gore-Tex Windstopper fabric, this jacket is windproof, water resistant, super breathable, and looks incredible. I love the iron gray color they used and again, I love a double zipper. Minimal branding hits also make this jacket extremely wearable with loads of different fits.
I am really glad to see that this new model from Hoka got a general release version after the Satisfy collaboration. I have the green Satisfy version and I can’t say enough good things about this shoe. They’re very comfortable to wear all day or actually use for running and they are easy to wear with just about any outfit. I love the design and if you couldn’t manage to get the Satisfy collab these are a pretty darn good consolation prize. I need to pick up a pair to run in.
