100 subscribers giveaway!
Giving back to everyone who has subscribed.
I started Grandpa’s Closet just over two months ago now and I just recently hit more than 100 subscribers. I know in the grand scheme of things 100 subscribers is really not that many, but I am stoked about it! I’m very grateful to everyone who has subscribed so far and who reads the articles, it means a lot to me. Thank you.
This is something I have wanted to do for a while now and I’m so glad that some people are finding value in what I have to share. I think starting anything can be nerve wracking. I had no idea how people would respond to my articles and the things I share. I started posting consistently and people seemed to like what I was posting and I saw results, slowly but surely.
This sounds cliche but taking that first step really is everything. If you want to do something, you should do it. Don’t worry about what other people think, even those closest to you that might think what you’re doing is weird or dumb. If you are authentic with whatever you do and are consistent with it, you will see results eventually.
Like I said at the beginning, 100 subscribers isn’t a ton. But it’s a start. I know the potential I have and hopefully where I can go with this Substack. I genuinely enjoy creating this content so much and I hope people will continue to find value and joy in reading what I put out. If you take anything away from this at all, just do that thing you’ve been wanting to do! I promise you’ll be glad you did when you look back at your life 10 years from now.
Enough of this inspirational drivel, now to the part I’m sure you’re all waiting for — the giveaway. I thought about if I wanted to do some type of giveaway for this milestone for a while and I finally decided I would. I’ll admit, sometimes when brands do lots of giveaways it annoys me and it can come off as fake.
That being said, I decided to do one because I am extremely grateful for everyone that has subscribed so far. At the end of the day, I have to try and remember that I’m doing this because I like it and not care too much about the approval of others. However, seeing people like, comment, and share articles or posts and seeing people subscribe to this blog definitely helps me feel that what I’m doing is valuable to others and does make me feel good.
